Body Found at Central Indiana City Trash Facility

KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) _ Police in central Indiana say a worker discovered a man's body amid trash at a city facility.

The Howard County coroner says the body was spotted Thursday morning at Kokomo's trash transfer station, where city garbage trucks dump out their loads.

City police Maj. Brian Seldon tells the Kokomo Tribune that investigators weren't able to immediately identify the man. Seldon says detectives were tracing back over the truck routes to figure out how the man ended up in a trash container.

Coroner Jay Price says an autopsy was planned to determine how the man died.
