BUFFALO, Ind. (AP) _ Northern Indiana officials say an explosion that leveled a house in White County shook homes and businesses for miles around and was heard up to 10 miles away.

Buffalo Volunteer Fire Department Chief Greg Westerhouse tells WLFI-TV that Monday morning’s explosion in the small town of Buffalo about 30 miles north of Lafayette left behind “devastation.”

Police said no one was injured by the blast, which spread insulation and debris across the area. Westerhouse says the State Fire Marshal’s will investigate the explosion.
