Billboard of Obama with Hitler Mustache Taken Down

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – A digital billboard message imploring Congress to “Impeach Obama” is no longer running after a daylong run in northeastern Indiana.

The billboard at Kendallville's Cornerstone Plaza shopping center showed President Barack Obama with a Hitler-style mustache. Fort Wayne news outlets first reported Tuesday it was paid for by former presidential candidate Lyndon LaRouche's political action committee.

Drawing a Hitler-style mustache on the president is common among LaRouche's supporters. They often frequented tea party rallies in Washington carrying signs of the president with the mustache.

A telephone message seeking comment was left for Cornerstone Plaza owner Roger Diehm. But Diehm told The News-Sun that any political party can buy space on his sign about 25 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.

Kendallville Mayor Suzanne Handshoe says the sign was inappropriate.
