Ball State Students Prepare Rail Transportation Documentary

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP): Ball State University students are preparing a new documentary film as part of a campaign to raise awareness about rail transportation.

Telecommunications instructor Chris Flook says “Indiana Crossrails: A Transit Choice'' aims to explore what impact greater use of passenger railroads could have around the state.

Teams among the 18 students involved in the project traveled to Utah, Colorado, Chicago, Michigan and North Carolina to interview people and shoot video for the documentary.

The university says a public premiere showing of the film is scheduled for noon May 9 at Ball State's center in downtown Indianapolis.
