Ball State Planning Office in Downtown Fort Wayne

MUNCIE, Ind. (WOWO): Ball State University leaders are working on plans to open an office in downtown Fort Wayne to increase the school's visibility and involvement in the city's activities. Initial plans are for the office to have a full-time director but not offer classes like Ball State's current centers in downtown Indianapolis and Fishers. Ball State associate vice president John Fallon says that the new office would aim to improve the availability of the school's resources for public and private organizations in Fort Wayne. Fallon says the Ball State office isn't meant to compete with other colleges now in Fort Wayne. Fallon says an office site has been picked yet, but that university officials want it to be conspicuous.
