FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – It’s National Fresh Fruit and Veggie Month, and visiting your local farmer’s market is a great way to celebrate! WOWO has compiled a list of local farmer’s markets in the listening area.
Ft. Wayne’s Farmers Market – Located at the Southeast corner of Barr and Wayne streets, this market runs every Saturday through the end of September. It’s open from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Decatur Farmers Market – You can find the Decatur Farmers Market located behind the Decatur Chamber of Commerce, 125 E. Monroe Street, beginning June 15. The market is open Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m.
Defiance Farmers Market – Located in the Northtowne Mall Main Entrace at State Road 66 south of U.S. 24. Open until late October, dates and times are as follows:
Tuesday: 2 to 6 p.m.
Thursday: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hicksville Farmers Market – Located at 111 S. Main Street in front of the municipal building, this market is open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Fridays from 4 to 6 p.m.
Downtown Auburn Farmers Market – Find local vendors selling a wide range of products on the east side of Main Street between 7th and 9th streets. The market is open throughout the summer on Wednesday and Saturday mornings from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Huntington Downtown Farmers Market – Open on Wednesdays from 4 to 7 p.m., the Huntington Downtown Farmers Market operates at the corner of Market and Warren Streets.
Portland Farmers Market – This farmers market can be found at the Courthouse Square in Portland, Ind. You can attend on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Dunkirk Farmers Market – Located at Webster Depot in Dunkirk, Ind., this market is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays.
Pennville Farmers Market – Find this market in Highway 1 in Pennville, Ind. open on Fridays from 4 to 7 p.m.
Kosciusko County Farmers Market – Located on Center Street between Buffalo and Lake Street, this market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Celina Farmers Market – Surrounding the Mercer County Courthouse, this farmers market is open on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Street and parking lot parking are available.
Kendallville Farmers Market – Farmers Markets and Trunk Treasures take place every Friday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. in the parking lot adjacent to The Party Store, 100 block of North Main Street.
Avilla Farmers Market – Visit this market every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on East Albion Street between the stop lights and St. James Restaurant.
Ligonier Artisans and Farmer Market – This market takes place every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pettit Memorial Park on North Cavin Street.
Steuben County Farmers Market – Open from now until the end of October, this market is open from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays. Visit the market at 317 S. Wayne Street in Angola.
