Arts United narrowing search for architectural firm

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Arts United in Fort Wayne is zeroing in on a group to give its downtown campus a fresh look.

The group comprised of local theater, dance, cinema, trail and art groups has named four semifinalists in its architectural search, according to Inside Indiana Business.

Each group is comprised of a Fort Wayne architect group that is paired with another group from out of the state.

The groups are:

  1. Design Collaborative (Fort Wayne, IN) and Ennead Architects (New York, NY)
  2. Martin Riley (Fort Wayne, IN) and Quinn Evans Architects (Washington, DC and other locations)
  3. Mills + Schnoering (Princeton, NJ) and Bona Vita Architecture (Fort Wayne, IN)
  4. Westlake Reed Leskosky (Cleveland, OH and other locations) and MKM architecture + design (Fort Wayne, IN)

The organization wants to increase accessibility and walkability at the downtown Arts Campus, along with renovating and preserving the Arts United Center, which is a 660 seat performance venue that was completed in 1972.
