FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There's a winter storm watch in effect tonight and Tuesday for areas north of US 6 in Indiana and Michigan.
Meteorologist Michael Skipper of the National Weather Service says snow accumulations of 2-to-4 inches are possible tonight for the WOWO listening area, but it'll be worse to the north:
“It's going to transition more to a lake effect snow, and we're expecting total accumulation of northern Indiana and lower Michigan to total 4 to 9 inches.”
Overnight winds are also expected to create blowing and drifting snow and make for slick roads tomorrow, and wind chill values will also be zero and 15-below for the area.
