Another study planned on downtown Fort Wayne arena

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Although one study has already given it the thumbs-up, another study will be done on whether or not to build another arena in downtown Fort Wayne.

The Capital Improvement Board approved a request from both the City and Allen County to do a study on the feasibility of a new downtown arena Thursday, according to our partners in news at 21Alive. The CIB will fund the study, which looks to answer questions about design, cost, and function.

A different study was finished by a committee headed up by Sweetwater Sound founder Chuck Surack this past March, and ended with the committee recommending the city build the arena, right across from Parkview Field.

There’s no word yet on how much this new study will cost.
