Another Craigslist Seller Robs a Man at Gunpoint

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Police are trying to track down the suspect responsible for robbing a man at gunpoint, at a craiglist exchange.

Police got the call to the armed robbery Thursday. Once they met up with the victim, who is from Angola, he said that the robbery happened at Spring and St. Mary’s, but the original transaction was supposed to take place at the Bob Evans on Dupont. However the suspect asked the victim to meet at his home.

The victim said once he arrived, a black man approached him and gave him the iPhone 5 he was planning on purchasing. The victim then took it to his car to inspect it under the interior lights, that’s when the suspect also got into the car and demanded the victim to drive.

They drove about 200 yards and that’s when the suspect told the victim to hand over the iPhone 5, the victim’s personal phone and everything in his pockets. The victim said the suspect had a small black semi-automatic gun.

The suspect then told the victim to drive away and not to turn around or he would shoot up his car.

The victim drove away and then called police. The suspect is described as a black man, in his mid 20’s with short hair and a beard and mustache. He is about 5’10” with a skinny build.

The victim was also able to give police the suspect’s number on craiglist. In the meantime, the investigation continues.
