FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): With Fourth of July fireworks comes some jitters for your pets.

Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control has some tips to keep your dogs, cats, and even small small animals from being overwhelmed by fireworks exploding outside.

For one, you should keep your pets inside at all times, secure gates, and give pets a safe place to hide while also offering ambient noise to drown out the noise.

Pets should also not be taken to events where fireworks will be shot off.
