Angola Man Injured in Single Vehicle Crash in Steuben County

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A 25-year-old Angola man is in the hospital after single car crash Sunday morning on I-69 in Steuben County.

According to the Indiana State police Department, around 6:00 a.m., Nathan West was traveling northbound on I-69 near the 341 mile marker. That’s when his vehicle went off of the roadway and down into a culvert where it hit a sign before striking a concrete wall.

West suffered a broken right leg as well a head injury, and is believed to have fallen asleep behind the wheel. He was taken to a hospital in Fort Wayne, but his condition is unknown at this time.

Police are still investigating, but alcohol is also believed to have been a factor.
