FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Thursday was a busy day for American Red Cross volunteers in Fort Wayne.
Volunteers went door-to-door asking homeowners in a northeast side neighborhood if their home had a working smoke alarm installed, and if they said “no,” volunteers would install a new one for them.
Our partners in news at 21Alive report that 107 smoke alarms were installed, in what Red Cross representatives say it’s the biggest single-day installation in the Red Cross Home Fire Campaign’s history.
