American Legion to Visit VA Medical Center

December 6th and 7th the American Legion’s National System Worth Saving (SWS) program is conducting a site at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System – Fort Wayne Campus.

The program has visits at VA medical centers each year to assess the quality and timeliness of VA health care, and collect feedback from veterans on the level of their own health care.

Veterans in the Fort Wayne area contacted The American Legion with concerns regarding the recent closure of inpatient services at the facility. The Legion’s SWS team wants to hear firsthand from VA facility staff and local veterans about the impact this closure has had on health-care needs.
