Update: Missing Indiana toddler is safely recovered

UPDATE FROM GARY POLICE: Baby Timothy Jackson Jr. has been found and is said to be safe!

GARY, Ind. (WOWO):  A missing Gary, Indiana boy that was part of a statewide Amber Alert has been found and is said to be safe.

Timothy Jackson Jr., 15-months-old, was taken from a Gary foster home around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12.  The people who took him were wearing masks and armed with sawed off shotguns.

Information lead the police to believe the toddler was with Timothy Jackson Senior, 17, and Rosalinda Tecaxo, 15.  At the time there was no vehicle description for the two.

On Facebook, Gary Police said that the mother was being fostered in the same home as the baby and, “She ran away on Friday and has not returned.”

Just before 10 p.m. Gary police sent out a message on social media that said, “Baby Timothy Jackson Jr. has been located. Details are still forth coming and will be forwarded as they become available. Our thanks to all who assisted in his safe recovery.”
