Alzheimer’s Patient Found Dead in SE Indiana Pond

AURORA, Ind. (AP): Police say a woman with Alzheimer's disease apparently drowned in a southeastern Indiana farm pond after she wandered from her home.

Indiana conservation officers say the body of 57-year-old Peggy Dean of Aurora was found Wednesday after emergency crews conducted an extensive search of the area following a report about a person who appeared confused.

Police say a blanket was spotted near the pond and Dean's body was found a short time later in the rural area about 20 miles west of Cincinnati. An autopsy found no signs of foul play.
