FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Allen County SPCA’s #GivingTuesday will take place tomorrow, and the organization is hoping for a record-breaking year.

“Giving Tuesday is the single largest donation day of the year for us,” said Executive Director Jessica Henry. “Because we receive no tax dollars, and are supported solely by donations, Giving Tuesday helps us save so many lives.”

The organization is seeking $15,000 in donations after an anonymous donor announced a dollar-for-dollar match on all donations up to that amount.

If the SPCA is able to meet its $15,000 goal, the funds, when matched, will cover the cost of nearly half of the medications and vaccinations the shelter will use in all of 2019.

#GivingTuesday takes place this Tuesday, Nov. 27. All donations made between 12 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. will go toward the cause and be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $15,000.

To donate online, visit www.allencountyspca.org. You can also make a donation by phone at (260) 744-0454.
