ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): Around 9:30 Saturday morning, a police officer witnessed a crash on Yohne Road, just west of Smith Road, that resulted in a vehicle flipping into a water-filled ditch.

Our partners in news at 21 Alive report that the officer then entered the water and attempted to free the female driver from her nearly submerged SUV. A passerby also stopped to help the officer. 

The crash victim was successfully removed from the vehicle, and the incident is still under investigation. The woman was the only occupant of the SUV.
