FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne – Allen County Department of Health is kicking off the new year by launching a redesigned website. According to a press release, It includes a separate web portal that will allow residents to look up health inspection records right from their computer, smartphone or tablet. 

The website — still at http://www.allencountyhealth.com— also features a new menu and search function for better navigation of the department’s programs and services.

In addition, the new Allen County Health Inspector site provides centralized access to health inspection records for retail food establishments, hotels & motels, tattoo parlors and public swimming pools and spas for the past three years. Users can search by establishment name or address, or both.

“This new website is responsive, meaning it can be easily viewed on any device, so it will be a great resource people can rely on for fast and accurate information about public health issues in Allen County,”' said Department Administrator Mindy Waldron. 

“And we hope this new health inspection portal will empower consumers while also inspiring restaurant managers, hotel operators, tattoo artists and others to maintain public health and sanitation standards.”
