Alcohol Identified as Factor in Five-Vehicle Crash

Police have identified alcohol as the main factor in a 5 car crash. Once police arrived on the scene at Maplecrest Road and Evard Road they called in fire crews to remove two people out of their cars  involved in the accident. Three people were taken to the hospital with injuries. One is in fair condition and the two others are in serious condition. 

According to witness, a speeding car rammed into several other cars stopped at a traffic light. The driver of the car is in serious condition and a blood-alcohol test revealed a BAC of .52%.  The driver remains hospitalized at this time. 

A short time before the crash occurred; the vehicle was the subject of an Attempt to Locate by the Allen County Police because it had been reported to be a reckless driver.
