Abortions Performed in Indiana at 35 Year Low

INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO): Abortions in Indiana are at their lowest level in more than 35 years.

Citing numbers released by the state department of health,  Indiana Right to Life says there were about 88 hundred abortions last year, it’s the first time since 1976 numbers have dipped below nine thousand.  It’s also a drop of 3.3 percent since 2011.  In 1980, more than 16, 500 abortions were performed.  

The downward trend also holds true in Allen County. Allen County Right to Life reports 264 abortions were performed last year, that’s down 9 percent.
