Abortion Doctor To Face Indiana Medical Licensing Board This Week

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): The trial of an Indiana abortion doctor is set to face a motion in front of the Indiana Medical Licensing Board.

This Thursday, June 25th, Dr. Ulrich Klopfer will set a motion for summary after facing an administrative licensing complaint by Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller. Klopfer faces 1,833 alleged abortion violations while performing in Gary, South Bend and Fort Wayne.

President and CEO of Indiana Right to Life said, “We anticipate that the Indiana Medical Licensing Board will allow justice to run its course by dismissing Dr. Klopfer's request for summary judgment… we urge the Medical Licensing Board to allow this case to move forward so the violations can be fully considered and so Dr. Klopfer will have to answer for his alleged actions.”

A motion for summary judgement means Klopfer claims all necessary facts in the case have been resolved, and he does not need to be tried because of how one-sided the facts are.

Klopfer has surrendered his operating license for Gary, Indiana. As of now, he can still provide abortions in South Bend and can only see patients in Fort Wayne.
