INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO): Monday afternoon, Governor Mike Pence issued the below statement in honor of Veterans Day:

“On this Veterans Day, I urge Hoosiers all across our state to attend a Veterans Day event in your community, find a veteran and say those words every veteran deserves to hear, ‘Thank you for your service.’ 

“Indiana is home to nearly a half million veterans. On this day, we do well to say thank you to all the men and women who served in our armed forces. By simply extending our appreciation to Hoosier veterans, we make one more installment in a debt of gratitude we can never fully repay.

“To all Hoosier veterans I say thank you for your service and Happy Veterans Day.”
