83 veterans taking off Wednesday for another Honor Flight

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Some more veterans are flying to Washington D.C. on Wednesday.

The 20th flight of Honor Flight Northeast Indiana will take place at about 8:30 Wednesday at Fort Wayne International Airport. Eighty-three veterans will take part, including 29 World War II veterans, 53 Korean war veterans and a Vietnam veteran.

This flight will also honor Laura Carrico, who founded Honor Flight Northeast Indiana with five other board members.

Well-wishers are invited to welcome the vets home at the main terminal of the Fort Wayne International Airport. The flight will return around 8:30 p.m Wednesday.
