DELPHI, Ind. (AP) _ A central Indiana sheriff says a head-on crash has injured five people including one driver airlifted to an Indianapolis trauma center.
Carroll County Sheriff Tony Burns says that driver went left of center and struck another car head-on. He tells the Lafayette Journal & Courier that two children, ages 5 and 8, in the car with the airlifted driver have been taken by ambulance to a Lafayette hospital, as have two occupants of the other car.
The names of the injured haven't been released.
Burns says the crash occurred just before noon Monday on U.S. 421 about 65 miles northwest of Indianapolis.
