INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Four days have been scheduled this fall for the annual deer hunts at a number of Indiana’s state parks.
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says it is accepting online applications through the agency’s website from hunters who want to take part in the hunts planned for Nov. 14-15 and Nov. 28-29.
The hunts are set for 18 state parks properties. Those are Brown County, Chain O’Lakes, Charlestown, Clifty Falls, Fort Harrison, Indiana Dunes, McCormick’s Creek, Ouabache, Pokagon, Prophetstown, Shakamak, Spring Mill, Summit Lake, Tippecanoe River, Turkey Run, Versailles and Whitewater Memorial state parks and Cave River Valley Natural Area.
Deer hunts have been conducted at the state parks for more than 20 years to help maintain habitat for all plants and animals.
