2019 Midwestern Sectional Figure Skating Championships to take place in Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The 2019 Midwestern Sectional Figure Skating Championships will be held in Fort Wayne this week.

The event is a U.S. Figure Skating qualifying event, which consists of 13 competitions. It will take place at the Parkview SportONE Icehouse this Thursday, Nov. 15 through Saturday, Nov. 17.

More than 220 skaters will compete in the event, which is the highest level of figure skating Fort Wayne has ever hosted.

“It is an opportunity for Fort Wayne residents to see Olympic hopefuls compete on the ice,” said Stephanie Coleman with Visit Fort Wayne.

The event is open to the public, and an all events pass is $45 for adults, and $25 for children aged 6-12. A daily ticket is $15 for adults, and $10 for children aged 6-12.
