2018 Summer Feeding Program kicks off Friday, free lunch for kids

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – The Community Harvest Food Bank, in partnership with the YMCA, Fort Wayne Police Department and Fort Wayne Fire Department, will kick off its 2018 Summer Feeding Program this Friday, June 1.

Kids younger than 18 can attend the event at YMCA Renaissance Pointe (2323 Bowser Avenue) between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. for free lunch, along with a live DJ, games, a splash pad and other summer activities.

The Summer Feeding Program will then last throughout the summer, with free food provided at three different locations:

  • YMCA Renaissance Pointe (June 4 – August 10)
    • Lunch provided from 12-1 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • YMCA Wells County (June 4 – August 10)
    • Lunch provided from 12-1 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Euell Wilson Center (June 4 – July 26)
    • Breakfast provided 8-9 a.m., Monday through Friday
    • Lunch provided 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m., Monday through Friday
