2 Women, Juvenile Charged in Deadly New Albany Fire

NEW ALBANY, Ind. (AP) _ Southern Indiana prosecutors have charged two young women and a juvenile male in connection with a January house fire that killed three children.

Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson announced Friday he's charged 18-year-olds Shelby L. Makowsky and Kylie L. Jenks with conspiracy to commit arson. A 17-year-old juvenile male faces the same charge.

The Courier-Journal of Louisville, Ky., reports the charges come a month after 18-year-old Cody Cashion of New Albany was charged with three counts of murder and one count of arson in the Jan. 4 deaths.

Prosecutors allege Cashion fired a flare from a flare gun through a New Albany home's window, igniting a fire that killed 2-year-old Trinity Hughes, 4-year-old Tyrese Hughes and 6-year-old Tai'zah Hughes. A fourth child was injured but survived the blaze
