2 Ohio women are accused of hiding syringes in their bodies

MERCER COUNTY, Ohio (WOWO): Two Ohio women were arrested Tuesday after police say they hid syringes in their body cavities.

Page W. Waterman, 29, and Chelsie M. Hedge, 21, both of Celina were arrested on preliminary charges of possession of drug abuse instruments, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers were told that two women were going to Dayton, Ohio to buy drugs on Tuesday. They were also told the women’s names, what they would be driving and that the women would hide drugs inside their body cavities.

At about 10:15 p.m., police pulled over the suspected vehcile on Coldwater Creek Road near St. Anthony road. A K9 alerted police to narcotics, but nothing was found inside the car.

When police obtained a body cavity search warrant, both women removed syringes from their cavities. A body cavity search was done at a hospital, but nothing else was found.
