14-year-old pushed into prostitution and running away by a man she met online, Fort Wayne police say

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): After a month long investigation, a Fort Wayne man was arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl and pushing her into prostitution.

Patrick J. Davis, 29, was arrested and charged with rape by force, promotion of human trafficking of a minor, sexual misconduct with a minor and promoting prostitution.

He first interacted with the victim through Facebook. He told her about how they could make money through prostitution despite her age, according to Allen Superior Court documents obtained by the Journal Gazette.

Davis helped the victim write a good-bye note to her parents before she ran away with him on March 28, according to court documents.

That night, Davis and the girl were at a house when he woke her up and consoled her. He told her everything was going to be OK but then he raped her, she said in court documents.

Police found Davis, a woman and the victim inside an illegally parked car in Fort Wayne the next day.

The girl was sent to a juvenile center, where she told officers what happened. Davis was booked into Allen County Jail.
