1000th Veteran Hops Aboard Wednesday’s Honor Flight

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Wednesday's Honor Flight in Fort Wayne features some milestones.

The 1000th veteran will be hopping aboard to fly to Washington D.C.

Bob Myer with Honor Flight Northeast Indiana recently spoke to Pat Miller and he says future flights will start to focus on Korean and even Vietnam veterans. He also states that this will be one of the last, if not the last, flight that focuses primarily on World War II veterans.

Pat Miller will be aboard the flight, which returns to Fort Wayne International Airport between 9 and 9:30 PM. Everyone is invited to welcome the veterans home at the airport, and you're asked to arrive by 8 PM at the ticketing area.
