1 of 3 Charged in Teen’s Beating Death Agrees to Guilty Plea

RICHMOND, Ind. (AP) _ One of three men charged in the fatal beating of an eastern Indiana teenager would get a 45-year prison sentence according to the terms of a plea agreement.

The Palladium-Item (http://pinews.co/1McmLua ) reports 18-year-old Michael Pruitt has agreed to plead guilty to felony murder in the 2014 death of 17-year-old Caleb Woosley of Richmond. Woosley was found dead in an alley, and court documents say he was hit with a baseball bat 40 times.

The plea agreement was filed in court Wednesday. If a judge accepts the agreement, Pruitt would get a 55-year sentence, with 10 years suspended to probation.

Two others charged with murder in Woosley's death are scheduled to go on trial in September.
