FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne police say they have found the suspect of interest involved a morning investigation of a “critically injured” woman. 

An emergency call was made to a home in the 800 block of Huffman Street where they found a woman who was “unresponsive.” Paramedics had to provide medical attention before taking her to a local hospital, where she's listed in critical condition. Her identity hasn't yet been released.

Investigators located 29-year-old Brent Stephen Browning.  He was taken into custody late Thursday afternoon without incident by the Violent Crimes Unit, along with Narcotics Bureau.  

Browning was taken to the Allen County Lockup with an initial charge of Aggravated Battery.
