FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): This year has been strange for Halloween costumes, the county has recently been experiencing a “creepy-clown” epidemic and now several stores are selling out of masks resembling Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

And, it’s no different here in Fort Wayne.

WOWO News spoke with Dick Stoner, owner of Stoner’s FunStore in downtown Fort Wayne. He says right now, the presidential candidate masks and scary clown costumes are flying off the shelves.

“We didn’t get as many as we should of, of Hillary, and then they came back in. Then we have the Trump and the Hillary, they’ve both been good…. I would say it’s about even,” said Stoner. “We’re selling clown masks, most of them are not the funny clowns, but the scary clowns that have fangs and things like that…  I think the shame about that, it probably hurts the clown performers.”

He says if you’re not interested in dressing up as a “creepy-clown” or a presidential candidate, he has several other costumes for sale or to rent.

“We have 20,000 rental costumes… for sale, we’ve got a life-size Chewbacca, Alice from Wonderland and the Mad Hatter… and all the Wizard of OZ things. Of course there are the things that are always popular, gangsters and flappers, Elvis and Marilyn Monroe, pirates,” he said.

Stoner’s FunStore is located at 712 Harrison Street between Berry and Main Streets.
