One killed in crash near Corunna

DEKALB COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): One person died in a two-vehicle crash on US 6 just west of Corunna, Monday morning.

Around 9 a.m. Indiana State Police and DeKalb County Sheriff Department responded to the scene, which forced the closure of US 6 between the Noble/DeKalb County Line and Corunna. Traffic is being routed north onto the County Line and also north on SR 327.

After an investigation, police believe the driver of a pickup truck crossed the center line and struck a semi, according to our news partners at 21Alive.

The driver of the pickup truck died at the scene and the semi driver wasn’t injured.

The name of the victim hasn’t been released and motorists should avoid the area.
