IPFW partners with Indiana National Guard to promote leadership

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Two organizations are teaming up to promote leadership and engagement at IPFW.

IPFW is partnering with the Indiana National Guard in hopes to grow leadership skills, civic engagement and cultural appreciation, according to IPFW.

The partnership will begin for the 2016-2017 school year.

“This partnership with the Indiana National Guard will bring very exciting opportunities for our students to grow in leadership and civic service,” said IPFW Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein.

The Indiana National Guard will put $50,000 into the partnership, which will support six different programs. The programs include Lunches with Leaders, Sincerely Me Diversity Program, Community Service Fair, Fall Student Leadership Fair, Fall Student Leadership Retreat, the BIG Event and “Leadership Impact Award presented by the Indiana National Guard.”
