FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): There’s an informational session planned tomorrow night to try and calm students’ fears over proposed restructuring at IPFW.

Thirteen departments at IPFW have been recommended for restructuring as part of the university’s “Strategic Alignment Process,” with nine of them in the College of Arts and Sciences.

A drop in enrollment and a number of annual budget deficits led to a recent suggestion that IPFW focus primarily on engineering, health sciences and manufacturing, according to the Journal Gazette, which leaves students with other majors like liberal arts wondering about their futures.

The informational session will be held Thursday night from 6 to 8:45pm at the Allen County Public Library’s Tecumseh Branch.
