Fort Wayne teen shooting victim identified

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Allen County Coroner’s Office identified the victim of an early morning shooting that happened Tuesday.

14-year-old Nicholaus D. Scroggins Jr. of Fort Wayne was found lying near the intersection of Lilie and Fairfax, about a block west of South Anthony Blvd, at about 4 a.m. suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He died almost two hours later at an area hospital, and has been named the 15th homicide of the year for Allen County.

Fort Wayne Police spokesman Mike Joyner tells WOWO news police are still investigating, but they don’t have a suspect in mind yet.
