Drunk Driver Sentenced To 30 Years In Prison

BLUFFTON, Ind. (WOWO): The fate of a drunken driver was determined in Wells Circuit Court.

On April 4th, 26 year old Anthony Dager was accused of crashing into a car driven by 72 year old Becky Prentice. Also in the car with Prentice was 65 year old Paul Penrod and Karen Smith. All three in Prentice's car died in the violent crash. Dager was sentenced to 30 years in prison on Thursday.

“The defendant stole my mother,” Ryan Shaw told the court, according to the Journal Gazette.

Dager, who was drunk and driving to work, pleaded guilty on June 24th to three counts of causing death while operating a motor vehicle with an ACE of .15 ore more.

Each felony charge carried a prison sentence of 2 to 12 years, and Dager faced anywhere between 2 to 36 years in prison.
