3Rivers Credit Union warns the community of a scam involving fraudulent phone calls that attempt to gain personal account information. 3Rivers has had several reports of automated phone calls being made to 3Rivers members and non-members.

The call shows up on caller ID from 595-5, with an automated message claiming to be from 3Rivers Federal Credit Union, and states, "We regret to inform you that your debit card has been deactivated." The call then prompts the user for personal account information. These messages are NOT FROM 3RIVERS or any other financial institution.

These calls seek to get personal information – like account numbers, credit/debit/ATM card numbers and PIN (personal identification number), etc.

Criminals will then attempt to access accounts and make unlawful withdrawals. 3Rivers will not call and ask for your card or account information, we already have it. If someone has given out their account information over the phone or suspect their account has been compromised, they are advised to ACT IMMEDIATELY.

If it involves a 3Rivers account, please tell us by:
*Email abuse@trfcu.org or send a secure message from your Online Access Message Center if you see a fraud attempt.
*Call us at 800.825.3641.
*Visit any of our branches

Give us as much detail as possible - but NEVER provide account numbers by e-mail. If necessary, we’ll contact the individual to personally discuss.
