INDIANAPOLIS (AP): An SUV ended up stuck inside a large water-filled hole that opened up in a city street on the east side of Indianapolis.

The SUV was tipped on its side with its passenger-sides wheels below the pavement after it drove into the hole Monday morning. Resident Gary Moore tells The Indianapolis Star that his son James was driving the SUV and was taken to a hospital after the wreck, but will be OK.

WISH-TV reports that police officers on the scene said a water main broke and caused flooding of the road in the residential area. That created a hole about 3 to 5 feet wide and 4 feet deep.

WRTV reports streets were closed nearby as city and utility company crews worked to fix the hole.
