FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) _ The Fort Wayne Community Schools board president wants state lawmakers to commission an investigation into the reliability of ISTEP+ tests following a problem-plagued week.

The Journal Gazette reports Mark GiaQuinta and other district officials on Friday questioned the validity of the test results because of computer problems experienced by the vendor, CTB/McGraw Hill. The problems forced testing to be suspended on Monday and Tuesday and to reduce the number of students taking the test the rest of the week.

Student performance on the standardized tests is required by law to be used in the state's A-F accountability grading system.

The state announced Friday that schools will be allowed to resume administering the tests at regular levels on Monday.
