SUMMITTVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Investigators have discovered more dead animals at a central Indiana farm where dozens of animal carcasses were stacked inside a barn.
Animal Protection League Director Maleah Stringer tells The Indianapolis Star that more than 100 dead animals have been found so far on the property about 50 miles northeast of Indianapolis.
Stringer has helped find foster homes for 30 or so surviving animals, mostly fowl.
Original reports cited police sources saying 75 to 100 animals had been found.
The farm's owner, Daniel Ault, told WISH-TV Wednesday that he became overwhelmed with the amount of animals on the farm. Police were called to one of the barns on the property Tuesday evening.
