Heavy Traffic Linked to Heart Attacks

The next time you're sitting around your house annoyed with the noisy traffic outside, watch out, you might be hearing more than horns and engines...it could be the sound of your heart rate accelerating. A new study shows that the closer you live to loud traffic, the more likely you are to have a heart attack. Researchers say that for every 10-decibel increase of noise, the risk of a first heart attack went up by 12 percent.print
