FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Indiana's State Board of Education is meets Wednesday at Ivy Tech.
The 11-member board, including Superintendent Glenda Ritz will tackle teacher licensing - what takes to become a certified teacher.
One of the changes allows candidates with a bachelors degree in a related field to teach with 6,000 hours of experience, a minimum 3.0 GPA of 3.0 and pass a content test.
They'll also review the troubled Flanner House School in Indianapolis. Last month the school closed after alleged cheating by school personnel to improve student scores on standardized tests.
The group is also scheduled tour Riverview Middle School in Huntington.
