DEKALB COUNTY, Ind (WOWO) _ 34-year-old Michael Stafford of DeKalb County is sentenced to 120 years behind bars for forcing a woman to perform sex acts while holding her at knifepoint.

According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, a judge told Stafford he didn’t deserve compassion after committing such a horrifying home invasion and sexual assault.  

The 120 year prison sentence is for five serious felonies. In July of 2009 Stafford barged into a home and forced a woman to perform sex acts on him, while threatening her and her 2-year-old with a knife.

New evidence emerged today that showed Stafford tried to hire someone to kill the victim to keep her from testifying.

Stafford continues to maintain his innocence; he made the statement in court today that he intends to appeal his conviction and sentence.
