Man Fires Shots at Armed Burglar
An attempted armed burglary ended when a Fort Wayne homeowner opened fire at the suspect. The News-Sentinel reports at about 10:22 this morning, police responded to shots fired on Emerson Avenue just north of Spring Street. The homeowner told police he saw a white male with a gun in his home, so he fired several shots at the armed man. The burglar fled on foot and police do not believe any of the shots hit the suspect. He's described as a white male, about 5 foot 10 wearing a T-shirt, blue jeans and a red bandanna hanging from a belt loop.
