Workers at Amazon.com Inc.'s warehouse report breathing trouble...
PLAINFIELD, Ind. (AP) _ Health officials in central Indiana are trying to determine what caused 32 workers at an Amazon.com Inc.'s warehouse and distribution center in Plainfield to complain about breathing problems.
Plainfield assistant fire chief Brent Anderson says the department received a call shortly before 9 a.m. Wednesday about a worker having difficulty breathing and chest pain. Anderson says others began complaining about similar symptoms.
He says by the time firefighters were done, 32 workers had been taken to area hospitals complaining of symptoms such as a runny nose, chest discomfort and cough. He says they were all taken to be evaluated and it is not believed any of the workers were seriously ill.
Anderson says an empty semi-trailer that had a red crushed pepper substance in is believed to be the cause.
